Activities for Year 2008

29 Feb to 5 March – Participate in Art Appreciation Show of Chinese Cultural Festival at the Singapore Conference Hall. The Society exhibits 29 bonsai and their photos would be published in the commemorative magazine of the Show.

30 March - artistic stones appreciation session at our premises

27 April – visit bonsai nurseries at Cheng Tai, Ngee Poh and Khai Seng Fish Farm.

25 May – talk by Mr Lim Keow Wah on styling of Juniperus & pine tree.

29 June – Talk by specialist from NPB on plant growth.

25 July to 1st Aug - to take part in the Singapore Garden Festival organized by National Parks Board at Suntec City.  

31 Aug – Mr Hoo Hai Chew would conduct a workshop on the creation of Chinese Rock Planting [Penjimg].

28 September – Mr Eric Lee would conduct a talk on Koi pond & landscape for water feature.

26 October -  mini sales of bonsai, stones & related items. Members are encouraged to actively participate in this sale. 10% of proceeds would be donated to the Society

30 November – Mr Lim Koew Wah would conduct a workshop on the appreciation of penjing pots and antique at his residence.

28 December - Mr William Koh would conduct a talk on the styling of Wrightia religiosa

2008 年 的协会活动

•2月29日-3月5日受新加坡美术总会邀请, 配合新加坡华族文化节美术欣赏大展, 我会在大会堂综合艺术厅大展时展出会员的29盆的盆景. 我们的参展者也付费登载他们的作品于这次的联合特刊.

•3月30下午2点在会所举行石头交流会.希望大家带石赴会.

•4月27日下午2点 到, (1)正大花园, (2) 圆圃园 (3) 开胜鱼场 采购盆栽材料.

•  5月25 日下午2点在会所由副会长林朝华示范松柏树的盆栽创作.

•6月29 日下午2点在会所由国家园林局讲解植物的生长.

•7月25日到8 月1日参加国家园林局在新达城”新加坡 花园节”的盆栽小展.

•8月31日下午2点在会所会由会员胡海洲讲解”山水盆景的制作.

•9月28日下午2点在会所会由秘书李树忠讲解锦鲤池和池园景的设计.

•10月26日下午2点在会所举行和盆栽,雅石有关的小卖会.

•11月30日下午2点参观 林朝华副会长收藏的古盆和古董

•12月28日下午2点在会所会由理事许源裕示范水梅盆栽创作
